in the golden age of cronus
when earth was ruled by gods
everything was made and driven
to the excellence of the whole:
all was for the sake of the All
for the blissful existence
of the world – not mankind.
the part being for the sake of the whole.
in the current iron age of zeus
the divine laws are among us
but men’s tiny affairs arise,
their laws become so important
that what was best for the All
turned out was not best for man
the whole being for the sake of the part.
if soul is continually
being united with body,
after body,
after body…
undergoing multifarious changes –
due to themselves or because of other souls
– the essence must become better…
in a better form…
in a better place…
